There are a variety of print document security features, such as security fiber paper, microprinting, and others that can protect important documents from copying or theft. And many of these features add little cost to the finished document, especially in large print runs.
So the question becomes: can you afford NOT to use them?
Financial theft is a growing problem, and thieves are become more and more innovative with their schemes to take someone else’s property. In addition print and imaging technology becomes more sophisticated every day, so it’s easier for skillful criminals to duplicate important documents and present them as official, even when there are forgeries.
To avoid this, King Printing Solutions offers more than two dozen print documnet security features. And King Printing Solutions works directly with customer companies, along with partnering with other printers, to make sure as many documents as possible can be protected.
King Printing Solutions offers many print document security features:
- Security Papers, with features including visible fibers in different colors, invisible fibers that are only seen under special light, Securlaser bonding, true watermarks engineered into the paper, chemical reactions that cause colors and marks to appear if paper is chemically altered, and magnetic ink compatibility.
- Inks, including those that change color when rubbed with a metal object, penetrate the paper to imitate watermarks, glow under ultraviolet light, or change color with temperature. They can also resist photocopying or digital recreation.
- Pantographs, screens are printed into the background of a document that say words like “VOID.”
- Microprint, very small type that is readable under magnification and becomes a solid line if copied or scanned.
- Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR). This technology makes print soak through the paper and appear in a different color on the back side of the document.
- Security Screens with words such as “security document” inserted.
- Padlock Icon, which indicates two or more security features are used.
- Warning Band, a border that indicates the security features being used and how to detect them.
- Anti-Splice Backer, which prevents cut-and-paste.
- Blockout, solids or dense patterns that prevent readability of certain information.
- Bond And Carbonless Papers. These check papers allow laser printing and endorsement.
And more.
